These terms apply to all individuals who use Kosi to:

• Access training and educational content

• Submit or review funding requests

• Lend funds to support others

• Use any features, tools, or services on the platform

Users agree to engage lawfully, respectfully, and only for the purposes intended by the platform. Any misuse, abuse, or unlawful behavior may result in suspension or permanent restriction of access.

 

2. Account Registration & Identity Verification

To access Kosi services, users must register an account with accurate, up-to-date information. Users are solely responsible for safeguarding their login credentials.

We may perform identity verification (e.g., KYC) at any point, and reserve the right to:

• Approve or deny access

• Suspend or terminate accounts for breach, fraud, or misuse

• Request additional verification before access to certain services

 

3. Learning & Course Participation

Kosi provides learning tools and practical courses across various categories to help users build skills and unlock personal and professional growth.

Participation in a course does not guarantee employment, income, or business success. Application of skills is the sole responsibility of the learner. Course content is for personal use only and may not be redistributed, copied, or resold.

 

4. Funding Participation – Borrowers

Users who complete eligible courses, particularly under the Small Business category, may apply for startup funding to support their business or project ideas.

The funding process includes:

• Submitting a request form after course completion

• Undergoing an assessment and basic valuation process

• Review and approval by a funder from the community

Approved requests are disbursed under fixed or custom terms depending on the selected lender. Repayment terms typically involve monthly payments, including interest, over an agreed period.

Borrowers must honor repayment schedules. In the event of missed or defaulted payments, additional steps may be taken to recover the disbursed funds in accordance with applicable policies.

 

5. Funding Participation – Funders

Funders (also referred to as lenders) are individuals or entities who choose to support verified requests submitted by eligible users.

 

Key terms include:

• Funders maintain full control and approve requests at their discretion

• Kosi does not assign or influence lender approval

• Kosi only facilitates approved transactions, including review, disbursement, and repayment management

 

Each lender may define custom terms, including but not limited to:

• Disbursement conditions

• Repayment frequency or structure

• Grace periods

• Additional fees or incentives

 

While Kosi offers a standard framework (including a common service fee and monthly interest rate), actual terms may vary per lender and will be clearly presented to borrowers before disbursement.

Kosi manages collection and reporting for each funding cycle. Lenders receive regular updates and repayments based on borrower performance.

 

6. Risk Disclosure & Acknowledgment

All participants acknowledge the inherent risks involved in peer-supported funding systems.

Kosi does not guarantee the success of any funding request or repayment schedule. While due diligence is conducted, the outcome of transactions is subject to borrower performance and third-party factors.

Users are advised to:

• Review requests carefully

• Only approve or lend where comfortable

• Request clarification via platform support if needed

 

7. Recovery, Defaults & Dispute Resolution

In the event of non-payment or default:

• Kosi initiates a recovery process, including reasonable attempts to resolve delays

• If unresolved, we begin resale of any applicable item(s) or initiate other recovery methods

• There is no guaranteed resale timeline—resale occurs only when a fair market value is achievable

• Recovered proceeds are used to return lender principal; prior interest may not be refunded

Kosi does not guarantee resale success or value and shall not be held liable for loss related to market depreciation, unverified ownership, or borrower failure.

 

8. Privacy & Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your personal information.

 

Data collected may include:

• User profile and identification data

• Course or transaction history

• Communication and platform usage analytics

 

We use data to:

• Improve user experience

• Validate identities

• Manage funding interactions

• Meet legal or compliance requirements

 

We do not sell or share personal data with third parties, except with vetted service partners or where legally required.

Users can request access, updates, or deletion of their data in accordance with our retention policy.

 

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Kosi platform—including but not limited to course materials, branding, systems, and tools—is the intellectual property of Kosi. It may not be copied, redistributed, or repurposed without explicit permission.

User-contributed content (e.g., testimonials or reviews) may be used by Kosi for platform promotion or operational needs.

 

10. Platform Security

We maintain strict security practices, but users are responsible for their devices and account activity. Any suspicious use or unauthorized access should be reported immediately.

 

11. Platform Notifications & Communication

By registering, users agree to receive essential communications, including:

• Funding updates

• Course-related notices

• Policy or feature changes

Users can manage communication preferences via their account settings.

 

12. Termination of Access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for:

• Violation of platform terms

• Repeated payment defaults

• Fraudulent activity

• Misuse or abuse of platform features

Outstanding obligations must be settled before account closure.

 

13. Indemnification

You agree to hold Kosi, its affiliates, team, and partners harmless from any claim, damage, or liability arising from:

• Your platform usage

• Violation of these terms

• Interactions with other users or funders

 

14. Limitation of Liability

Kosi shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages related to:

• Delays or interruptions in service

• Loss of funds due to borrower default

• Platform performance beyond our control

 

15. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be revised periodically. We will notify users of any material changes. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the latest version.
